We’ve had a wonderful start to the second semester! Students are getting used to their new schedules, which include Academic Days on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and Community Days on Tuesday and Thursday.

This Thursday, as part of our community experience, students went to Kazimour Farms to build grow tables. Some of these tables will be used in partnership with Cedar River Academy and City View’s Garden Club to learn about the life cycle of plants.

Our Freshman students are beginning to identify a community partner they’d like to work with or a community problem they’d like to help solve. Meanwhile, Sophomore and Junior students are either continuing their first-semester internship experiences or they’re reaching out to new potential partners for second-semester internships. This semester, we’re excited to use a new tool called ImBlaze, which will help us better track internship attendance and give our partners an easy way to provide actionable feedback to students.

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 4, from 5–6pm! We’re eager to share more details about improvements to the City View student experience, based on feedback from our community.
