Internships are starting! We have our first students being placed in their internships this week. As students finish their readiness indicators, we will be able to place them. Please encourage your students to seek help if they are struggling with anything!
Course Drops – The student drop date was 9/9/25. Students may no longer drop a course. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Behavior: Students have 3 or fewer major behavioral referrals.
Attendance: Students maintain at least a 90% attendance rate.
Internship Readiness: Students complete a resume, personal statement, portfolio, mock interview, and score proficient or above on the working with others rubric.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
Good Standing at City View – As we begin to place students in internships, we are focused on ensuring all students are in good standing. Good standing consists of the following:
Academic: Students maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade point average and on track with core credits to graduate.
Behavior: Students have 3 or fewer major behavioral referrals.
Attendance: Students maintain at least a 90% attendance rate.
Internship Readiness: Students complete a resume, personal statement, portfolio, mock interview, and score proficient or above on the working with others rubric.
City View is a choice for students who wish to go further and deeper in pursuit of finding their passion through authentic, competency-based, community-embedded learning through coursework and internships. These expectations are foundational to being successful at City View.
If students are not meeting these expectations, the following steps will be taken:
A contract and support plan will be initiated by the school based first quarter grades and measures (Monday, October 7, 2024).
If students do not make adequate progress to meeting these standards, a parent meeting will be held to discuss progress and placement options back to resident high schools or referral to Metro.
We are looking forward to working with you and your students to continue pursuing this work together. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out.
